Sun Coffee, two coffee enthusiasts who met!

Big coffee lovers for many years, we wanted to offer exceptional coffees produced through short supply chains from the African continent.

Mission accomplished! In collaboration with Kawa Kivu, a Congolese company specializing in coffee roasting, we distribute Kawa Kivu coffee from the Democratic Republic of Congo, specifically from the highlands around Lake Kivu.

This specialty coffee is harvested, sorted, roasted, and packaged in Congo. All of these steps make it a 100% African coffee, directly to your cup.

Kawa Kivu’s primary mission is to work with small local producers, cooperatives, local roasters, and packaging workshops to streamline and simplify the production cycle. This approach brings numerous benefits to the products created:

  • The overall integration of trade and production into the local economy.
  • Certification of a coffee from a unique terroir, ensuring a distinctive taste and flavor.
  • Development of local skills, which improves not only the quality of this product but also of all regional production.
  • Simple traceability of the product.
  • The carbon impact of the products is minimized as much as possible, thanks to a short supply chain.

By working with the entire local social and economic fabric, Kawa Kivu seeks to create a new production model that is more ethical and transparent.
